Scottish Rustic Furniture was founded by Wesley Parke to produce bespoke rustic furniture made from indigenous Scottish home grown timbers. As a carpenter Wesley works mainly with wood, though other materials such as glass from Inverness and slate from Caithness may be used when appropriate to the design and structure of his products. In particular Wesley likes to use native Scottish hard woods from sustainably managed woodlands in the local area such as oak, elm and ash although he does use beech, alder and other woods for the construction of clocks etc. Wesley is based in the Highlands of Scotland close to Inverness (the Highland Capital) and is surrounded by the natural beauty that Scotland has to offer. The magnificent rural environment and natural habitat gives Wesley the inspiration for many of his ideas. The product photographs shown in the gallery on the left have been taken in the furniture's natural environment, however these items are intended for indoor, rather than outdoor use.
